Lead Software Engineer – AI Brand Protection Platform (m/f/d)

Your mission

At Sentryc, we protect global brands from counterfeiting and brand abuse with an AI-powered SaaS platform that scans the internet for IP infringements. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will drive the development of our platform by staying hands-on with code and helping shape our technical direction. You’ll collaborate closely with the CTO and CPO to translate business needs into impactful technical solutions, while promoting engineering excellence across a small but ambitious team.

Your tasks

Architect, design, develop, and deploy features for our microservices-based platform
Improve performance, security, and scalability using Java 11, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, AWS, Docker, GraphQL, and testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test
Set clear technical direction and ensure clean, maintainable code through best practices
Conduct code reviews and support a culture of continuous learning and technical growth
Work closely with the CTO and CPO to transform product needs into robust system solutions
Coach and inspire a cross-functional team of backend and frontend developers
Monitor system performance and proactively implement improvements
Keep up with emerging technologies and assess their potential value for our platform

Your profile

5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development
Expert knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
Experience working with distributed systems and cloud-native architecture
Solid understanding of agile development workflows
Excellent communication skills and fluent English
Bonus: Experience with AWS, GCP, or monitoring tools like Datadog

Als Lead Software Engineer bist du verantwortlich für die technische Weiterentwicklung unserer Plattform – hands-on, strategisch, und gemeinsam mit unserem CTO und CPO. Du bringst neue Ideen ein, übersetzt Business-Anforderungen in skalierbare Tech-Lösungen und hebst die Code-Qualität im Team auf ein neues Level.

Deine Aufgaben

Design, Development und Deployment neuer Features für unsere Microservices-basierte Plattform
Performance-, Security- und Scalability-Optimierung mit Java 11, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, AWS, Docker, GraphQL und modernen Testing-Frameworks wie JUnit, Mockito und Spring Boot Test
Technische Vision definieren und Code-Qualität durch Clean Code und Best Practices sicherstellen
Code Reviews durchführen, Wissen teilen und kontinuierliches Lernen im Team fördern
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit unserem CTO und CPO zur Umsetzung strategischer Tech-Entscheidungen
Coaching und fachliche Unterstützung für ein kleines cross-funktionales Dev-Team (Backend & Frontend)
Monitoring und Performance-Tuning der Plattform
Evaluierung neuer Technologien und deren sinnvolle Integration in unsere Architektur

Dein Profil

5+ Jahre Erfahrung in der Backend- oder Full-Stack-Entwicklung
Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Java & Spring Boot
Erfahrung mit verteilten Systemen und cloud-nativen Architekturen
Gutes Verständnis für agile Workflows und Collaboration-Tools
Starke Kommunikationsskills und sehr gutes Englisch
Nice to have: Erfahrung mit AWS, GCP oder Tools wie Datadog
